The Star Mako is our straightest flying and straightest finishing mid-range disc. It has the flight characteristic of a putter, with the glide and speed of a mid-range disc. A great performing disc that can take and hold the angle of release. Turnover shots stay turned over and hyzer shots stay hyzer. Excellent for staying on narrow fairways and threading through forests. The Mako is available in our premium Star plastic for durability and grip. In weights from 165 to 180 grams.

The Star Mako is the only Midrange disc that consistently has stayed in my bag over the last year. It has great glide and works real well off the pad. Any hole that is under 300 ft. and it is left to right has a Star Mako written all over it.

I initially bought this disc to use as a mid-range putter from like 100ft or closer, but as I get more use to it I find that I really just use it as an approach disc from 200ft in. It solid line straight with a very slight fade to the left(RHBH) really allows you to place the shot every time knowing where it is going to land. Definitely a great disc for someone needing that straight shot with plenty of easy glide!

I bought this disc to replace my cro for short to moderate approach shots. The more I've used it, the more I'm convinced that it is a better complement to my crow instead of a replacement. Although it has supplanted my aviar as my go-to putter. The Mako holds a great line, even on longer putts.

I bought this disc because I had liked the flight pattern of the Shark, but wanted something a little straighter. Well, this is as straight as it gets. It took me a little while to get used to releasing it, but you can throw this thing directly at a basket 60 ft away and it will stay true. I use this as my approach shot as well as mid-range.
