i am not a great player, but it gets me outside and active. this is the 1st disc i bought and it's one of the more useful discs, for me anyway.

I have 4 star aviar's all in different weights. Most of the time I carry 21 discs in the bag and 2 star aviar's are in there. I find they are good for drives and even better for your approach shots. 125ft to 50ft I will use one.

My favorite putter so far, works great for an amateur like me....hitting longer puts every game!

I just bought this putter a week ago and already I am cutting strokes off my score. Until I bought this putter I could hit the short puts and some of my medium putts. Now I can consistently hit medium putts and some longer putts. Makes a really good approach disk too!!!

I love this disc when their is now wind so it goes almost absolutely straight.

When you have a heavy putter like this one wind doesn't effect it at all.

One of the very first discs I ever bought, way back in 1991. It was an easy to control disc to learn the basics of the game. An absolute MUST for any beginner. It’s very stable at lower speeds for those who don’t have a big arm, and it is easier to control on short putts than anything else in my bag. Oh yeah, out of all the discs I have gone through since that very first time in 1991 (lots of water holes at Cliff Stephens) this Aviar DX is the only original disc still in my bag to this very day. I show off to all the people I get involved in Disc Golf and it never fails, they want one!!!

This is a great beginners putter. It has a very good feel and its flight pattern is true to the throw.

My boyfriend plays with this putter and enjoys it for a variety of putts, however I much prefer the Wedge that I putt with. It has improved my game far more than the Aviar, and I find it to be alot more reliable than the Aviar. I think the Aviar is a good beginner putter, but pretty average and there are better choices out there.

I putted with a Aviar putter for several years and liked it very much. I then got a R-Pro version and have used it ever since. The soft body of the putter feels more comfortable in my hand and I can consistently place it where I want. It also grabs the chains and stays in the basket much more often.

My husband starting me off with this disc when we played a short open course in my hometown. I was only used to frisbees, but this was a good transition.
I don't have a big arm, but I use this when I need some confidence building. It putts great and will keep me in the middle of the fairway. We have a few aviars, some new and some old. They all fly a bit differently because of the age which is great. I know I can keep the same grip and throw, but the discs will have different flight paths.
For females I would definitely recommend having an Aviar in your bag. It helped me to learn the discs that I now use. It is a disc at its most basic. If you learn how to anhyzer, hyzer, and throw this straight, then you'll be fine.

This is the best all around golf disc on the market. I've tried a few others from Discraft, Gateway and DGA. While some of the other brands are similar, like the Discraft Challenger, the feel and flight of the Aviar is unique.
I have a wide variety of beat-in Aviars and use them for hyzer, stable, or anhyzer shots. That just shows how universal this disc can be. Between this and a Teebird, I'd be confident playing any course.

I have tried several putters and I always seem to come back to this disc. I love the grip. It doesn't get taken by the wind. This disc is easy to control because there isn't much glide, meaning that a missed put usually lands the disc close to the basket.
