The Z Nuke SS is Discrafts newest and hottest wide-rimmed disc golf driver. This disc feels great in your hand. As soon as you pick it up you will feel the difference that the wide rim makes. The Nuke provides a solid grip for both forhand and backhand shots. This is an idea choice for new players who are seeking to improve their distance.
The Nuke is also available in the following plastics: Pro D Nuke, Elite X Nuke, Z Nuke, Z Nuke (First Run), and the Z Glo Nuke.
SS stands for 'super straight', but 'super sweet' is more accurate for this max distance driver that is more controllable at slower speeds.
Throw NUKE SS downwind at medium speed for a loooong s-shot, or at higher speed for mondo turnovers that will flatten up but still finish right. Stronger arms are using it for their longest rollers ever!
The Z NUKE SS gives developing players the means to get the distance of more advanced throwers without needing years of experience. You can get very long turnovers at medium speed, or throw your longest rollers ever at high speed! Give it a rip and see for yourself.

I don't have a huge arm and I was even having to back off the power to not throw accidental rollers with this disc. Even started with a ton of hyzer it wanted to flip super fast out of my hand, and it wasn't an OAT problem. I agree with what was said in a previous review, that thrown at around 75-80% with hyzer this disc will get out there in a hurry and glide. I'd compare it to a really beat in Pro Katana, even though it's in Z plastic. If you hit the right line with a tailwind it will go for miles. Fun disc.

The Nuke SS allows the distance and speed of the Nuke but with more control for those with less arm speed. When I throw a Nuke it fades faster than the Nuke SS with the same speed and force. When throwing in the field the Nuke SS goes consistantly farther than any of my other discs. I reccomend it to anyone looking to get a little more distance in their drives.

It doesn't take much effort to get a lot of distance with this disc. Snap it out on a slight hyzer and watch it turn up and glide out and finish with a little fade. My wife now throws one also as a go to distance disc. Can't go wrong choosing the Z Nuke SS!

Never Disappointed with Discraft. Got one from my buddy and flies straight almost every time. Can't put full power into it, but great distance and accuracy if you're taking a leisurely round with a couple friends.

This is a really good distance disc for beginners and female players or anyone with a smaller arm. If you have a medium size to big arm this is a great disc for LONG turnover shots. I found I could really bomb it with about 75% of the force I normally put on the Nuke. If I put a full 100% it just flipped up and took off in the wrong direction pretty much turning into a roller. Good disc, tough to control.
